Course objectives:
|
The subject is conceived as a theoretical-practical unit (lecture and field-oriented exercises in a specialized classroom). In the theoretical part of the course the students will be acquainted with the laws and regulations related to the management of health care, including electronic ones. Practical exercises are focused on simulated work with the hospital information system as well as on standard work with ordinary office applications and information sources with regard to their use in study.

Requirements on student
|
Student must meet the requirements in the e-learning course and didactic test. Credit for exercises is conditioned by successful completion of the theoretical part of the course.

Content
|
Exercise (20 hours)
Teaching is divided into 10 two-hour blocks of exercise in a specialized classroom:

Introductory tutorials - introduction to LMS Moodle, general use of information technologies, verifying the level of knowledge, specification of required input knowledge
4 o'clock
Text processor - complete offer, advanced text processor features, content creation, work with graphics, mail merge, text editing in columns, unusual print formats
6 hours
Table processor - numbers and calculations, basic functions, absolute address, graphs, more advanced functions, logical functions, more complicated graphs, basic statistical calculations, conditional format, filters, partitions,
2 hours
Electronic presentation, poster

Internet and its services, information sources on OU, citation standard

Work and fulfillment of NIS tasks, focused on the subject according to the specifics of individual health professions.
General knowledge for all disciplines:

- laboratory information system
- planning rehabilitation procedures
- midwifery and newborn workplace

Competences - students are expected to possess the following competences before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
The student enrolls two courses at the same time - lectures and exercises - at the same semester. The final evaluation of the courses is mutually conditional. |
Student is able to use MS Office. |
The student has an Office 365 school account. |

Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
The student is familiar with the LMS system, is familiar with the methods and possibilities of learning in the form of e-learning and knows how to use them for study and further education.
He knows how to use the knowledge of common PC user work, how to work independently with other software applications, especially in the field of office applications. He knows how to work with electronic information sources, he can quote sources used for the study.
After passing the practical exercises, the student knows how the hospital information system works, is able to orientate in the system, knows how to handle the electronic documentation within the scope of the relevant medical profession. |
After completing the practical part of the course, the student has knowledge of common user work with the PC, working independently with software applications especially in the field of office applications. He / she has a more advanced work with text and table processor, knows the principles and technical solution of electronic and printed presentation of professional texts, knows the principles of using electronic information resources, can work with tools for quoting sources. In general, it gains more information literacy, which will be used in the preparation of seminar papers and bachelot thesis.
Student knows what it is and what are the basic components of the hospital information system, controls the basic work with the hospital information system, is able to orientate in the system, eg can introduce into the new patient system, order, enter the results of the examination - can work with electronic documentation in the scope of the relevant medical profession. |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
The student is oriented in the LMS environment, is familiar with methods and possibilities of e-learning and can use them for study and further education.
It uses the knowledge of common user work with PC, it works independently with other software applications, especially in the field of office applications. He is able to master advanced text and table processors and is capable of technically preparing an electronic presentation. He / she can work with electronic information sources, he / she can quote the sources used for the study.
After completing the practical exercises, the student controls the basic work with the hospital information system, he is able to orientate in the system, eg he can introduce into the new patient system, order, enter the results of the examination - he can work with electronic documentation in the scope of the respective medical profession. |
