Course objectives:
The objective of basic gymnastics tuition is to acquire basic knowledge and skills that students will apply in their professional practice. The content of the course are floor exercise, exercising with equipment, on equipment, stunting (motor - functional) training and knowledge of correct terminology.


Requirements on student
1 Active participation at seminars (2 absence allowed), set physical education outfit
2. Successful fulfilment of the final test (75 %) - 30 points
3. Performance requirements - 40 points
- Horizontal bar (men within the reach, women up the forehead) - 3x upward circle from basic position
- acrobatics - acrobatic compilation consisting of basic gymnastic skills
- climbing - men rope women climbing pole
- flexibility - deep trunk bend when sitting with feet together

Another 30 points will meet the student for both the above credit requirements in one semester.

1. Introduction, introduction to the content and credit requirements. 2. Drill exercise - line-up and march forms, reports, turnover 3. floor exercise - basic terminology, graphic record 4. floor exercise - the basic terminology 5. Preparatory part of the class - the principles of proper warm up, warm-up exercise 6. Preparatory part of the class - warm-up using the tools and implements 7. Acrobatic (motor - functional) preparation - strengthening, supporting, equilibrium 8. Acrobatic (motor - functional) preparation - rotary, mobility, take-off and landing 9. Fitness exercise using equipment - small weights, medicine ball, expanders 10. Fitness exercise using tools - circuit training 11. Gymnastic games - coordination exercises, obstacle courses 12. Implementation of the credit requirements 13. Implementation of credit requirements, final test

Learning outcomes

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course:
The student will develop his/her skills; will learn the basic skills of gymnastics; he/she will learn the terminology and principles to manage physical education class of basic gymnastics; he/she will be capable of leading an educational unit of basic gymnastics.
