Course objectives:
The definiton of basic terms of cinematography and film genres (film taxonomy). The history of Polish film since its beginning up to now. Polish commercial and art-house filmmaking. The most significant and distinctive films of the Polish film production. Contemporary Polish directors. Polish filmmakers of the world significance. The projection of the selected films followed by their analysis is also part and parcel of the lessons.
Requirements on student
Active participation in practical classes (min. 80% attendace), presentation of a seminar work on an assigned topic for 3-5 pages.
