Course objectives:

Kurs podstawowy podający ogólny przegląd na temat geografii Polski, gospodarki, systemu politycznego, ruchu turystycznego, obyczajach i tradycjach, kolejnych realiach i codzienności Polaków. Uwaga zostanie zwrócona również na podstawowe dane z wszystkich dziedzin kultury polskiej (architektura, sztuka, literatura, muzyka, film, nauka).
The basic course presenting the overview of physical and socioeconomic geography of Poland, of the economy, political system, tourism, customes and other aspects concerning the everday life. The attention will be directed to the basic data from Polish culture (architecture, fine arts, music, film, science).

Obecność na zajęciach min. 85%, opracowanie referatu na zadany temat, pomyślnie zdany test końcowy. Minimum punktów potrzebne do zdania testu 60%.

1. Położenie, granice, warunki i bogactwo naturalne Polski.
2. Ludność, mniejszości narodowe Polski, religia, Polacy poza Polską.
3. Regiony historyczne i współczesne, podział administracyjny.
4. Najważniejsze polskie miasta i ich znaczenie historyczne, kulturowe i gospodarcze.
5. System polityczny, konstytucja, partie polityczne. Międzynarodowa pozycja Polski. Polska i Unia Europejska.
6. Stereotyp i autostereotyp Polaka.
7. Ważni polscy kompozytorzy, muzyka w Polsce.
8. Najważniejsze organizacje i stowarzyszenia w dziedzinie kultury.
9. Najważniejsze zabytki architektury, polskie malarstwo i rzeźba.
10. Polska nauka i badania, laureaci Nagrody Nobla.
11. Polska sztuka ludowa, sztuka regionalna, muzyka.
12. Teatr i film w Polsce.
13. Podsumowanie, zaliczenia.

Student ma wyobraúenie o geografii fizycznej i społeczno-ekonomicznej Polski. Ma podstawową wiedzę z zakresu ekonomii, systemu politycznego, edukacji i opieki zdrowotnej w Polsce. Zna podstawowe atrakcje turystyczne i zabytki Polski.
