Course objectives:
Study materials (supplementary study materials, extension study materials, links to study materials, assignments for seminar papers, assignments for correspondence assignments, etc.) can be found continuously in the course created for the respective semester of the course in MS Teams. You will also submit the deliverables (term papers, correspondence assignments, etc.) in this environment. Communication between the instructor and students will be via email (use student email only) and via chat in MS Teams; any consultations or online meetings will take place in the MS Teams environment, in a team with a name that copies the course name and the semester.

The contact among cultures has been a part of each culture´s existence and has belonged to the reality of people´s everyday life. Multiculturalism as a political concept has brought its consequences also to the field of education. The area of multicultural education has changed into intercultural and transcultural, it appears in various activities realized during instruction. In this course, students will understand the terms related to multicultural education , they will reflect their own experience of the activities they participate in and thus they will build up their transcultural consciuousness and become more interculturally literate.

The course is provided by the Department of Education and Adult Education for Erasmus students, especially for those studying teacher education programmes.

The form of assessment of course is subject pass ("zápočet"). The result of a subject pass is expressed on the scale: a) "započteno" (i.e. "pass"), b) "nezapočteno" (i.e. "fail").
