Course objectives:

The examination of the theoretical knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology.

Requirements on student
|
Completed requirements for graduation.
Student has to submit the logbook (GPK/YPPGL) to the chairman of the examining board before the exam. Student has to meet all task in the logbook and the completion of each task must be confirmed by a stamp.

Content
|
1. The study of gynaecology and obstetrics is completed by the State M.D. oral examination. It requires the completion of all compulsory exams and credits.
2. The practical part encompasses history taking, establishing differential diagnosis, the proposal of a diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, performing an external obstetric examination, the assessment of a cardiotocography record, and the description of demonstrated obstetric and surgical instruments.
3. The theoretical part of the State oral examination is carried out in front of the examination board. Students are required to answer three questions in a comprehensive way.
Detailed course + topics / questions + exam dates + exam commissions will be published well in advance.
The state examination in obstetrics and gynecology consists of several parts and passing one part is a condition to proceed to another one. :
written test:
- 30 questions / 15 minutes, multiple choices, 70% correct answers
the practical part:
- question - oral answer without preparation (randomdrawing from a given range of question)
the theoretical part:
- 1 question from fetomaternal medicine (random selection of question)
- 1 question from gynecology (random selection of questiondrawing of the question)
- 1 question from oncogynecology (random selection of questiondrawing of the question)
The classification of individual parts of the theoretical oral examination is used for the final assessment of Exam. A successful completion (the worst possible mark being "E") of a written test is a condition to proceed to the next part of the Exam - practical part (question). The successful answering of this part of Exam (the worst possible mark being "E") is the condition to proceed to the next part - theoretical part. In the case of the 2nd attempt of the Exam, the student will be allowed to answer all parts.
In case of a 2nd attempt, the student must complete all parts of the state rigorous examination, even those that were passed succesfully during the first attempt.

The student has theoretical knowledge of general gynecology, reproductive and perinatal medicine, obstetrics, oncogynecology and urogynecology. Practical experience with diagnostic procedures and basic treatment incl. hormonal. |
