Course objectives:
Kurz poskytuje vhled do problematiky výuky dětí mladšího školního věku, se specifickým zřetelem na role učitele a žáka v procesu výuky anglického jazyka. Pozornost je věnována otázkám multisensorického přístupu k výuce a učení se jazykům, práci ve třídách se smíšenou úrovní žáků, konkrétním postupům pro výuku slovní zásoby a mluveného projevu. Studující budou čerpat ze své pedagogické zkušenosti. Cílem kurzu je poskytnout nové pohledy na výuku, opřené o současné poznatky v oblasti procesu učení a výuky cizích jazyků. Studující mají k dispozici i distanční texty pro samostudium.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course:
The student :
- understands the key didactic issues in terms of foreign language teaching of Young Learners (role of a teacher, role of a learner, interaction, vocabulary/grammar teaching, individual approaches, communicative language skills etc.).
- uses effective visual aids professionally to encourage Young Learners' motivation.
- uses various didactic techniques and strategies.
- analyses and evaluates his/her teaching practice.
- uses communicative and interactional competence in a foreign language in terms of professional reflection of a foreign language teacher at B1.2 level according to the European Language Portfolio.
